Egypt - June 2013
Where are the tourists? Why do these places, rich in history, appear as deserted as the lands far from the Nile?
It's mid-June and those millennia-old places are frequented only by Egyptians. Those huge empty spaces are just a reminder of the immense crowd that, in a few days, will invade Cairo's squares, forcing the fall of Mohamed Morsi's government.
Yes, it was June... but Luxor was deserted...
and I was there a week before the coup of June 30, 2013.
