This story begins one November many years ago, when a boy fresh out of high school wore the uniform of Auxiliary Carabiniere Cadet for the first time.
Many memories remain from that experience. But one in particular, linked to the speech given by an officer at the time of discharge, remains impressed:
“Whoever has worn this uniform, even for a short period, remains a Carabiniere forever and, one day, life will make our paths cross again.”
At the time, they seemed like just words for the occasion…
The years go by… thirty to be exact.
Shots follow one after another… behind me, the Carabinieri Band plays a jazz piece by Maestro Gianluigi Trovesi in the rehearsal room
Those words come back to mind… “life will make our paths cross again.”
I never would have imagined that those paths had made an appointment to give me the most beautiful professional moment of my life.
I keep taking photos… the Band keeps playing… and I can’t stop smiling.
